Medicine is in my blood. I come from a long line of physicians. The practice of medicine has always surrounded me, shaping my earliest childhood experiences. I remember seeing how enthusiastic my father was about his profession, and knew at 5 years old that I wanted to become a doctor. Since then, it’s influenced all of my major life decisions.

I began my journey by earning my Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from La Sierra University, California. I started my medical training at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara and completed my medical degree at New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York through the Fifth Pathway Program. I completed my residency at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine – North General, in Manhattan in July 2007. I am now a Board Certified physician in Internal Medicine.

After several years in practice, I began to develop my unique holistic medical approach. I wanted to be more than just a diagnostician, I wanted to help my patients look for alternative avenues of care. I now have a well-developed network of alternative care practitioners to whom I regularly refer my patients.

I employ a thorough approach to my patient’s medical concerns. I take pride in advocating for my patients, whether it be with their insurance company, employer, or other specialists. I believe that the practice of medicine should be for the benefit of the patient. I am exceptionally thorough; I will spend as much time with you as necessary, and try to answer all of your questions. I’m also fluent in English and Spanish.

As a patient of Genesis Medical, I will help you create our own health story. You do not have to relive your family’s experience.
